This is my second go around with creating a website, a blog. I already started my site this past winter. Actually backing up, I started with a different domain name 2 1/2 years ago. Played around trying to learn the technology Bought the book…Blogging for Dummies…but never went live with it. Bought a second domain name “the red wine effect”; it was catchy. It actually came to me after drinking red wine, literally. I love red wine especially blends; still do. But I can only drink a couple glasses.. anymore than that, then the “truth” comes out. A few years back I would drink Riesling(which is a lighter white wine for my non-wine friends) and would maybe have a bottle, yes an entire bottle, while doing hours of home work with no affect. I’ll be out with friends enjoying cocktails with little to no affect. But give me a third glass of red wine…even pacing my drinks…something in it makes me even more honest and bold; which is hard to believe because ask my friends, I already speak my mind pretty confidently. So that’s how I got the name for my blog. And I had a site that was live for a few months But somewhere along the way I let my other domain expire and this one was attached and POOF! Gone! All my work. I’m sure its in cyberspace somewhere. And if I call Bluehost, who is my hosting site, they could help But I hate phone calls..Hate being on the phone; making appointments, fixing an issue… It’s never an easy fix. It’s never a quick call. I’ve never been a phone person. Even when I was a kid with a rotary phone and a partyline, I hated calling friends or them calling me… “I’m not home”. I still don’t answer the phone. Text me…love text.
Back to the site though, so now this is my first post second time around. I’ve been slowly rebuilding my site, for months. Putting it off, enjoying summer, binge watching Netflix and Hulu and just downright being lazy. And everyday excuses…I’m working, I have to go get the kids from soccer, I have to go shopping, I have to make dinner, I have to clean or do laundry, I have to…I have to…..So many “I have to’s”. I have a friend that asks me a few times a week, “got your site up yet?” He did that the last time too! Just put something up, get it live, it doesn’t matter as long as there’s something there. Truth! Get in gear, stop delaying, all these excuses why I put if off. No more excuses…okay, I’m sure I’ll have more excuses, let’s just be realistic. But I sure as hell going to try to be motivated to get this done.
